Cisco System’s subsidiary Linksys, a recognized VoIP, Wireless and Ethernet service provider has announced the launch of its WIP330 Wi-Fi VoIP phone at IFA 2006. However, the latest model is not a Skype friendly.

Good thing ! Who need skype when we have SIP !! more than 100 millions people are using SIP ...

you seems to be very judicious. You should know that Skype is the best voip service provider so far. so we should not decline the voice power of skype.

Sure you were not using VOIP before skype arrives , apart from NAT traversal using people computer as proxy , I don’t think skype has brought something to VOIP ...
But , ease of use has beaten the fact that their protocol is still proprietary and so, it’s no solution for everyday VOIP
